Our beginning
Aliseo Velluti was born in 2005 in Agliana. An ambitious italian project, with a strong identity, born from the long experience of the two founders in the furnishing weaving field.
The Past and the Present
Velvet (from the Latin “vellus”, fleece) is a fabric that has a thick pile or a series of tiny loops of thread on its surface. Already in the thirteenth century its production was ingrained in cities such as Lucca, Florence, Genoa and Venice. Over the centuries, velvet weaving has become a real art, but today to create a product that satisfies the tastes of the most demanding customers, experience and creativity are no longer enough: only by mixing tradition with research and innovation it is possible to create velvets that the market asks for, and this is exactly what we do better.
